Hi, I'm Dan Varley and I'm your Vice President Engagement responsible for this zone.

The purpose of the External Engagement Zone is to enable our members to create a positive impact on both the University and wider external communities.

What does the zone do?

  • Community Action
    Supports and develops student led volunteer projects which provide a benefit to the local community.
  • Enterprise
    Supporting student enterprise activities through student groups while seeking further opportunities within the University, local area and nationally.
  • Fundraising
    Works with RAG and other student groups to support charity fundraising activities.
  • Local Communication
    Promotes positive communication between the Union, students and local residents in the community.
  • Volunteering
    Grows and develops current volunteering opportunities through the Universities Community Volunteering process.
