Wing Chun

Sports Development

Wing Chun (詠春) is a system of martial arts that is very different from most other martial art forms, being based on the economy of motion and exerting the most force whilst expending the least amount of effort.

The SUWCC hopes to create awareness of Wing Chun among the University students and invites interested students to participate in the club's training sessions.

We welcome students at any level, from complete beginners to advanced students. If you missed the taster session, don't worry! Feel free to come down when you next get a chance and have your first session free!

Training times:
Wednesdays at 8pm-10pm in the clubs and socs room
Fridays at 8pm-10pm in the activities room

Both rooms are in the SUSU building

To indicate your interest, please email with your name and student ID number to wingchun@soton.ac.uk .

We are the major fundraising committee at the University of Southampton. Our committee and volunteers spend the year fundraising for dozens of charities depending upon what the students want us to do! All fundraising at the Union comes through us, and we are therefore the major support system for any other societies, clubs, groups or individuals who want to fundraise too.RAG are always hard at work planning new fundraising events and schemes, and helping others plan theirs. As well as our regular Speed Dating event every February, we run a whole load of other events from zombie chases to Christmas markets, as well as the spectacular BIG GIVE! We also offer some fantastic opportunities like trekking the Inca Trail, taking the Gorilla trek through Uganda or even getting your kit off for the annual RAG calendar.Check out our blog for up to date information on everything we're up to!http://susurag.org/
