Shaolin Kung Fu originates from the Shaolin Temple in Henan, China. Our training is suitable for people of all skill levels and we welcome everyone!
Whilst there are many styles of martial arts which make use of the Shaolin name, we train in the style practiced in the temple by the Shaolin monks. Our instructors are all very highly qualified and are uniquely experienced allowing us to incorporate aspects of traditional Shaolin Kung Fu practiced by folk masters on Songshan mountain which are no longer practiced in the temple.
The society was set up over a decade ago by Shifu Yan Xin, a 34th generation master from the Shaolin Temple, to spread Shaolin culture and martial arts to Southampton.
Your first week of classes are free so come and give us a try!
More information, prices and class times can be found on our website: http://www.shaolin.susu.org
Although we are called 'Southampton Univeristy Canoe Club' we are in fact a group of whitewater kayakers! A growing and nationally successful club, SUCC accommodates anyone from people who have never kayaked before (which is how most people join us), to expert paddlers! We run weekly sessions on the river and in the pool, with trips every fortnight and at least one awesome social a week. There's loads of info on our website: www.canoe.susu.org. If you have any questions at all please contact the committee by posting on our freshers Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/609866109161242/ or via email: email@example.com (Questions are answered sooner when posted on the FB page rather than via email).
