Judo

Sports Development

Judo is a traditional Japanese martial art and modern Olympic sport centred on powerful throws and effective joint locks and pins.

Our club offers a variety of fully taught sessions to cater for everyone from first time practitioners to seasoned competitors.

We teach a beginners course at the start of the year whilst for more experienced players we have monthly competitions with local clubs and attend the BUCS national student championship.

The first session is always free so why not give it a go?.

Martial Arts

Jiu Jitsu is a practically-based fun & technical martial art based on the teaching of the Japanese Samurai, but updated to cope with modern situations. We teach a variety of techniques including throwing, restraining locks & weapons defence (i.e. chains, bottles, baseball bats...). It is great for getting into shape as well as for those who prefer the more technical side to martial arts and your first session is always free - what have you to lose?
